Description

I’m False Aralia. My unique and textured leaves make me the perfect tabletop plant to accent your space. My leaves start out as a reddish, coppery green and eventually turn into a beautiful dark green shade. You probably have not heard of me before which makes me the perfect plant if you’re searching for something different. I am great at purifying the air in your home and I’m non-toxic to your pets.

🌱 Care Level – Moderate: False Aralia requires some attention to thrive, suitable for those with some plant care experience.

🐾 Pet-Friendly – Caution: Can be mildly toxic to pets if ingested, causing irritation or discomfort. Keep away from animals.

☀️ Light – Bright, Indirect: Prefers bright, indirect light. Too much direct sunlight can scorch the leaves, while too little light may cause leaf drop.

💧 Water – Moderate: Water when the top inch of soil feels dry. Avoid overwatering, which can lead to root rot.

🌫️ Humidity – High: Enjoys high humidity. Consider using a humidifier or placing the plant on a pebble tray with water.

🌡️ Temperature – Warm: Thrives in temperatures between 65-85°F (18-29°C). Avoid cold drafts and sudden temperature changes.

🌍 Hardiness Zones – 11-12: Typically grown indoors but can be planted outdoors in these tropical zones.

🌿 Fertilizing – Light: Fertilize lightly during the growing season (spring and summer) with a balanced, water-soluble fertilizer.

🪴 Re-potting – When Necessary: Re-pot every 2-3 years or when the plant becomes root-bound. Use a well-draining soil mix.

🧹 Cleaning – Gentle: Dust the leaves with a soft, damp cloth as needed to keep the plant healthy and attractive.

🌱 Propagation – Stem Cuttings: Propagate by stem cuttings in spring or early summer.

🌎 Origin – South Pacific Islands: Native to the South Pacific, False Aralia is known for its elegant, serrated leaves and upright growth habit.
