I am a slow grower but take good care of me and my results will be well worth the wait.

ABOUT OUR POTS

BIODEGRADABLE GROW POT

Our biodegradable grow pots are made of 50% sphagnum peat, wood fiber and lime to adjust the pH. The peat content provides a combination of superior root penetration, good drainage and aeration whilst the wood fibers strengthen the pot.

Designed for easy transplant. They are 100% compostable and approved for organic production. Simply place the entire biodegradable pot into your planter and the roots of your plant will soon grow through and decompose the pot.

ECO-FRIENDLY ROOT POUCH

Our recycled & semi-degradable eco-friendly fabric bags are made from a mix all natural fibers and recycled plastic water bottles saved from landfills. The breathable fabric allows for your plants to stay cool in the summer and provides good drainage to avoid overwatering. They provide a healthy environment for your plant to grow by pruning the roots and creating dense, healthy root structures.

These fabric bags are washable and recyclable. It will take 1-2 years for the bags to semi degrade. Use your fabric bag as a decorative planter and remove from the bag when it is time to repot. This planter is designed by Root Pouch.

PLANT CARE

LIGHT

The plant needs to have bright, indirect light. It can also survive in low light conditions for extended periods of time but this will cause the plant to grow more slowly and drop its leaves. Avoid direct sunlight.

WATER

Keep the soil moist but not overly wet, the root ball should always remain moist during spring and summer. Give it a thorough watering until water seems down the bottom of your pot. Water approximately every 7-10 days: if you see the soil is dry, it needs water. The more light the plant has the more water it will need. Reduce watering in cooler months to every two weeks and avoid soaking the soil.

ENVIRONMENT

Ideal temperature is 55-75°F but can be higher or lower to survive. Keep away from drafty doors or windows. This plant loves warm air and humidity. Normal room humidity is fine but may need extra humidity in the winter. The more light, the more moisture the plant may need and you may want to consider misting the leaves or placing a tray of water nearby for your Creeping Fig to absorb.

GROWTH

This woody vine can reach up to 15' or longer but is a slow grower. It prefers to be fertilized in spring and summer only once a month with a half diluted fertilizer.

REPOTTING

This plant likes the be somewhat root bound but does not want it's roots to fill the entire pot. Repot every two years during early spring into a pot 1" larger than the current size.. Any well-draining soil will work when repotting.

PROPAGATING

You can easily propagate the creeping fig with stem cuttings. Take a cutting off of the plant during the early spring and pot into any well-draining soil. Keep the cutting in a warm, humid environment with bright, indirect light.

TOXICITY

Keep away from your children and little furry friends. While it is not really poisonous, if you come intro contact with the milky sap produced by its stems, you may have skin irritation.

Creeping Fig

I have looked at different places offering this plant and finally ordered from 36vine and am so happy I did. The plant arrived full and healthy. It is in a grow pot so was so easy to repot into a larger pot. Will be ordering again.

Grace

I received my order of two plants and they arrived in perfect condition! I also received an email with very specific instructions on how to care for the plants and how to properly remove them from the box they were shipped in.
Any questions that I had, they responded quickly via email with the answers.
I frequently visit our neighborhood nursery but after ordering from 36vine, I am contemplating solely ordering from them even though I live in southern Florida because of how beautiful the plants were and how well I was treated as a customer.
