ABOUT OUR POTS

BIODEGRADABLE GROW POT

Our biodegradable grow pots are made of 50% sphagnum peat, wood fiber and lime to adjust the pH. The peat content provides a combination of superior root penetration, good drainage and aeration whilst the wood fibers strengthen the pot.

Designed for easy transplant. They are 100% compostable and approved for organic production. Simply place the entire biodegradable pot into your planter and the roots of your plant will soon grow through and decompose the pot.

ECO-FRIENDLY ROOT POUCH

Our recycled & semi-degradable eco-friendly fabric bags are made from a mix all natural fibers and recycled plastic water bottles saved from landfills. The breathable fabric allows for your plants to stay cool in the summer and provides good drainage to avoid overwatering. They provide a healthy environment for your plant to grow by pruning the roots and creating dense, healthy root structures.

These fabric bags are washable and recyclable. It will take 1-2 years for the bags to semi degrade. Use your fabric bag as a decorative planter and remove from the bag when it is time to repot. This planter is designed by Root Pouch.

PLANT CARE

LIGHT

This plant thrives best in bright, indirect light but can also tolerate low light. The plant will grow faster with more light. Keep out of direct sunlight.

WATER

Allow the soil to dry before watering, about every 1-2 weeks. If your plant is receiving more light, increase your watering schedule. If the leaves are turning yellow that means you are overwatering.

ENVIRONMENT

Standard houseplant temperatures are ideal for this plant, around 65-75°F. Keep away from cold drafts and avoid temperatures lower than 50°F. Standard household humidity is fine for this plant but increase humidity to grow larger leaves.

GROWTH

The leaves can grow to be about 2"-4" big while the stems themselves can reach lengths of over 10' long over time. Give them plant a diluted fertilizer once a month in spring and summer to encourage growth. Fertilize every other month in fall and winter.

REPOTTING

Repot the plant to a larger pot when the roots have filled up the current pot size. This plant prefers to be somewhat root bound, so choose a new planter that is about one or two sizes larger and filled with fresh, well-draining potting soil.

PROPAGATING

Philodendrons are extremely easy to propagate through cuttings. Using sharp scissors, cut off a piece of branch that has a few nodes and a few leaves on it. But the cutting into a cup of water until the roots grow about 2" long. Plant the rooted cutting into a pot using well-draining soil.

TOXICITY

It is toxic to humans and pets. May cause oral irritation or vomiting if ingested.
