How To Make Your Plants Happy: White Butterfly Arrowhead Plant Care Guide
Light
The Syngonium plant does not need a lot of light, low to medium light will be enough for the plant to thrive but it also can do well in bright, indirect light. Keep out of harsh sun as the leaves will burn.
Water
This plant should be kept lightly moist in spring and summer and allow the top of the soil to dry during cooler months. Water about every 3-5 days during spring and summer and reduce to every 1-2 weeks in colder seasons.
Environment
This plant prefers warm and humid climates, ideal temperature around 65-75°F. Keep out of temperatures below 60°F. Humidity is a necessity to keep the leaves from turning brown on the tips. Use methods such as grouping plants, pebble tray with water, or humidifier to keep this plant happy.
Growth
This plant can grow up to 3' to 6' tall indoors depending on the type of support it has. It is a climbing plant, so give it a pole or trellis to really see it grow tall and full otherwise the leaves may get tangled. Apply a half strength fertilizer once a month in spring and summer and every other month in winter.
Repotting
Repot every 1-2 years depending how fast your plant is growing. Repotting more frequently will result in faster growth. Use a new pot that is 1" larger in size if you notice your plant has outgrown it's current pot. Repot during the early spring, refreshing the soil with a rich, well-draining soil.
Propagating
You can propagate this plant through cuttings. During spring or summer, cut a section of stem that includes at least 1-2 nodes. Keep the cutting in water until it has formed roots about 1"-2" long and then plant into a new pot.
Toxicity
This plant is toxic to pets.
